i know i know another lol tav thread, but i would like to say some people last run did not get to enter... like me and would like to have priority if possiable to enter first... i would also like to add in the bidding for tav that just because you bid first or fast does not garentee you be entering first run, i had a bunch of people last Tav bitch at me in-game because they wern't i the first group and they bid first... we need to make 2 partys as best we can... with our attendance like it is, i'll be very supprised if we can field 2 runs. and with most members total lack of knowledge of tav i dont think we're ready to run tav will less than 18... also i'm still infavor of entering tav with our best 18 first, as a reward for hard work, and going above what is required durring runs... as we all see the people who stand out because of good or bad things durring runs, or have it be based on attendance as well, to get people to make runs if they want to enter tav... i just dont think rewarding the slackers in this shell is at all fair, and i'm tired of doing so...... Also i would like to add if we're ever going to really start doing Tav and not just making it a half ass Xarc/Beau run, we need to get the strats down so we can kill nightmare clusters, fish, leaches not just the bees cause there in the way.

"Winning" tav is honestlly 90% luck with which Diabolos you get and only aggroing one (which we have been good about the last 2 runs) and not so much about necessairlly having the "best" in a group. We would have won last time from what I gather other than people afking without notice.
As far as entering with the best 18 idc at this point honestlly since we have secured the win for the LS. The only problem is that atleast one SH who knows the zone needs to go with the less skilled grp. I have no problem in being that SH but then again I am one of the few who has spent time learning the zone and the pull/sac paths (since our other THFs dont seem to want to do any more than they absolutelly have to). Even then it gurantees nothing since what drops and weather somthing drops in pure luck. For the immidiate future I am planning on keeping atleast 1 tav a month since for alot of the old members it is one of the few zones they have any drop to look forward to or spend points in.
Finally even with the bidding I am sure that if you asked for volunteers, alot would gladlly sit out rather than have to do tav so I dont think weeding down to 1 grp if we are shorthanded will be a huge problem (although some of those who want to sit out might be the ones who you consider to be among the best).
Anyway if you want to enter with 18 I dont have a problem with you deciding on the roster for entry this month as long as 1 knowledgeable SH is sitting out incase we have enough people/interest for a second grp.

Start with the people who wanted to go last time and didn't get in, even if they aren't the best. Everyone who wants to do Tav should get a chance.
As far as farming goes, last run was the first time we ever tried the fish, as far as I know. I didn't know what to expect when we pulled.
I have been giving it some thought, definitely a sac pull is needed there, but I don't know how we are going to pull a manageable number of fish out of that train. We can have the 2-4 WAR, PLD, and NIN voke a few, or have each BLM stun one, then those we pull away while the rest reset from the sac pull. Thats the best I can think of, but theres no way to guarantee all the Vokers or Stunners target different mobs...I almost wonder if Carby pull works on those.

from what i have read you clear mobs till you get to the ramp going down to the lower lvl of a floor. and just camp at the top of that ramp, and hope you can clear enough nightmare mobs before the 3 min warning, to camp closer to the bottom of the ramp, then send a thief to hit the ?.?? and repop the floor... wno i dont know if hitting the repops the nightmare mobs your fighting or because you dont clear enough of them and hit the more spawn on top of the ones that are there to begine with...

When I was organizing groups, people that had to sit out (especially against their will) would get top priority for the following run. After that people that don't have flags should have priority and people with bids over people without bids. All of this is subject to a balanced group. If you have to make adjustments to balance, just try to be as fair as possible. It won't always be perfect and it isn't easy. I preferred to base my groups on signups as of Tuesday night so that stuff was partially finished before the run and fill in as needed. Otherwise there is a ton of time spent at the run trying to group up and more chances to screw up the priorities I mentioned above when under pressure to get started.
I agree with what Caskaa stated.
If I can help fill out a 2nd group, I should be able to log in on time tomorrow night. I'd prefer to play THF, but I know WHM is more beneficial if we already have a THF in the alliance.
