well i was thinking about some stuff the other night, and was wondering what you all thought about this... would it be ok if i steped down from blm mainlotting to make room for another blm in the 10 cap we keep... the only thing i would ask is if i could still mainlot in Tav for -1 legs and body... Or just raise the hard cap of blm's to 11 as i wont be lotting anything other than Tav drops, as a blm ever lol, i think i have been holding this mainlot for long enough and would like to see others get af that i am other wise preventing them form getting because of the cap on blm.... thoughts sugestions?

Imo if you have something left to lot don't change mainlots. While your intentions are good making "special" rules for specific people isn't a very good idea. I think we should discuss with the other blm mainlotters if we should expand the cap or not before/if we actually do it. As for you holding it that long well there's nothing wrong with that since you do come on that job and do a good job at it, so don't feel bad about it lol.

You stepping down wont have an effect on the critical BLM item which is the hat. Every single other BLM NQ AF2 is within reasonable levels for mainlots and is close (and have all before) gone to sublot. At this point the ONLY thing a person wont get from BLM sublot within a reasonable amount of time in the LS is the hat. With as congested as the hat lotting is it wouldnt be prudent to add more mainlots till it clears down a bit so I would say keep your current mainlot. It would be pretty ridiculous to have paperwork showing you as some non lot but having all 10 of our BLM mainlots needing the hat. That really isnt good pacing on our part in the BLM tier.
I dont think we should raise the cap on BLM at this time anyway. Not unless the competiton level on hat is reduced drastically. It also makes no sense that with an attending membership base in the 30s we would need 1/3rd of thoe to be BLMs. Either way, even if you leave BLM mainlot I think we should just keep it locked for the immdiate future till we get a few more hats.
Edit: Since I had a few min, to put things in prespective, if not for Ragy switching lots every BLM AF2 EXCEPT hat and body would be sublot. We now need 3 BLM bodies 2 of which are for people who switched or joined BLM less than 2 months ago. This means that any BLM sublotter can expect to have a good shot at city BLM AF2 reasonablly soon. On the flip side, we need 9 BLM hats for the mainlotters, you leaving the lot would only add to that number if we were to replace you so in the end I see no reason for it (and regardless of that issue I dont think its a good idea to congest it even furhur if you WERE to switch to a different lot cause of your own AF2 interests). Personally I wouldnt have let Ragy switch either but made exception cause he was (and to a certain extent, justifiablly) upset over us adding Alfrodo without reannouncing that we were opening BLM.

Because of the number of people we were running with for a while and BLM being one of the jobs we need the most saturation of (though that all depends on BLM avg attendance), I had raised the artificial cap on BLM to 12. So we had 12 at some point, but it was a long time ago and that didn't last long as some left. We haven't had more than 10 in a long time and we don't have a pile of BLM apps.
With all that in mind, I don't see a need to make room for another BLM mainlot and I agree with Aceris that we should try to keep away from specialty rules (within reason).
Sah has broken it down really well. Long ago, in your early days DR, BLM AF was tough to get in all zones. Of course, as you all know, we started getting lucky with BLM AF for a long while there in all cities and Beaucedine. Although, Windy was still pretty slow for a while and of course the hat has been the biggest pain in the ass over the past couple years.
