I have failed this linkshell.
I didn't set up a proper punishment for missing runs.
Tonight was a striking example of that.
We need to decide as a group what needs to be done to those who show up late, or don't show at all. And we need to decide ASAP.
I'm fucking pissed....

How do you explain to someone that they can't go to BCD because people didn't show up?
I was serious when I said this was a failure. I feel like I failed a lot of people when we cancelled this run.

Hank, I won't go so far as calling this a failure. I think it was more of a failure to see the flaws in our current policy. We're still in a "growing pains" stage of the shell, and concrete policy descisions still need to be made.
Speaking on failed attendance, I screwed up tonight, I know. I'm not one who should be talking now, but today has been a "head up my ass" type of day. I'm offering my input here because, being a member who's been to nearly every Dynamis run possible, it annoys me to see members come and go when it is convenient for them.
Being in a leadership role, at least officially now, I know I have to set a standard for being tardy and present for every possible run. So far, I've held true to that excluding tonight. My problem is the way a seemingly large percentage of the shell has taken liberty of stretching the limits of the relatively loose attendance policy.
I'm not sure if we can go so far as to break pearls for failure to attend runs without a good reason (in a fashion similar to TSG), but what other options are there?

Wednesday runs are still hard for some people to make (including myself). The simple solution is to just recruit more people.
Hank you shouldn't feel like you failed anyone.... people just didn't show up in the numbers we needed. In the defense of most RB members, I only saw four online that weren't present at today's dynamis.
People who are online and not attending are another story. We need commited members but I'm not sure exactly how to punish those who don't attend. Perhaps once we make a push for Dynamis Lord (I realize this is way far ahead in the future...) we deny attendance to those with low participation assuming we have 64+ members present.
Muffins is right, we're still in the early stages. Wait a bit for everyone to get situated, more members in the shell, attendace % up. It will turn out ok.
