I know people are being agressive in the sponsorship thread but do not lock it without asking me first. This is somthing that people need to be made aware of as far as the polarization it brings to members of the shell since it is a topic that comes up over and over and I want people to see how members on BOTH sides feel stronglly about their point of view.
If it gets to the point where I think it is causing severe damage to the shell I will lock it personally but in the meantime let people argue it out.

I"m not so sure why you bother to let them stir the pot. Honestly, you and I both know this will never fly gimpo. This LS is made up with people that are great players but have such high egos and hate each SO much thats its not even funny. You can cut the tension in the LS with a knife. Of course I'm not playing anymore so my opinion doenn't really weight alot. Still my belief is that the more things change the more they will always remain the same for this LS. It's what makes its different and the longest, most successful NA dynamis shell on the server.

Locking threads only makes it seem like we are siding with the argument one way or another. As I said in the thread I am past the point where I care enough to make a stand. However having been here as long as we have most of the SH realize that it simply will not work out but membership somtimes tend to forget why that is and rather than making it seem like we are dictators who want the LS to do what we tell them to it is easier to let them argue it out and see just how much drama this topic brings due to attitude from BOTH sides.
In short I believe that it it somtimes better for people to get their arguing out rather than have the argument forcefully stopped. That way people dont think SH are imposing them in a particular line of thought or being partial. Also this way we have somthing we can refer people back to for the near future next time someones asks why SH dont supprot sponsorship.

I understand the logic, it's just one of those things that doesn't ever resolve itself because the opinions are so strong on both sides. We have wrestled with this issue since the "new regiment" took over after Hunk's? departure. I'm just saying they will argue, complain and while the feelings might subdue for a while after the thread is done with, eventually they will start it up again. Kind of an endless cycle.
